Checklist
Before the first staff meeting of the year
- Count real teaching weeks against the academic calendar
- Map content blocks to weeks using the paper weightings
- Block practical and fieldwork weeks first — they get squeezed last
- Fix sequence dates and the paper format each will use
- Agree a common marking scheme vocabulary across the department
- Circulate the printed subject specification to every teacher
